About North Point
Village Started
in 1982, North
Point was the last of Reston's villages to be built and is a mixture
of single and multi-family housing. North Point is bisected by Reston
Parkway and the Fairfax County Parkway and is bordered by Baron
Cameron Ave. to the south and Leesburg Pike to the north. These major
roadways provide North Point residents with a variety of commuting
options in all directions of the compass.
The Lake Newport Olympic swimming pool and Lake Newport Park are key
recreation areas in North Reston. In addition the well hidden North
Hills Tennis, Pool and Pavilion serve a variety of neighborhoods off
Center Harbor. North Point Village Center serves as the commercial
center of the village with a grocery, restaurants and a variety of
service merchants.
North Point is served by two FCPS school pyramids, Herndon HS and
South Lakes HS. There are two elementary school in North Point, both
named for renowned Apollo Astronauts Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin.
