About Wolf Trap National Park
Wolf
Trap in the country's only national park for the performing arts.
Mrs. Catherine Filene Shouse had a vision of her family farm
becoming a park for the arts. Mrs. Shouse was no ordinary local
farmer and I remember as a kid, seeing her chauffeured in a Bentley
around town. Wolf Trap has been a huge success since day one (I was
there) and offers a wide variety of performances from classical to
pop. Wolf
Trap's operating season is only about 6 months so local residents
benefit from being so close to such a treasure in-season as well as benefiting
from the open-space and quiet of the off-season. The Filene
